IT public procurement: expertise and bid delivery

Public IT tenders require relevant references, technical skills and a suitable delivery organisation. The Alan Allman Associates ecosystem brings complementary capabilities together.

The European Union has one of the strongest demands in the world for advanced IT services. For a firm like ours, being present in those markets is how the client base widens beyond the accounts we already serve.

IT procurement requirements

European programmes and public IT contracts require specialist skills and teams able to provide long-term support. Bids must demonstrate relevant experience, delivery capacity and compliance with requirements.

Public procurement assesses data protection, quality, team qualifications and service organisation. Experience with these procedures supports well-documented, relevant bids.

Our public sector experience

We have run an integration platform for a European public institution since 2007. The team built and still operates the bus that routes, transforms, mediates and manages the messages moving between that institution's systems and applications.

At that volume, the tooling for control and supervision has to be built rather than bought, and the way the work is organised matters as much as the architecture. Delivering reliably at that scale is a different discipline from delivering the same design once.

Combined expertise for public tenders

Public procurement is an opportunity for us and for the other firms of the Alan Allman Associates ecosystem. Because the expertise across the ecosystem is complementary, we can answer public sector requirements by assembling an in-house consortium that covers what the tender asks for, under one banner, with teams that are organised rather than assembled the week before submission.
